Welcome, welcome back to the Nadine Hassan Creative blog. I’m so excited to share the first blog post of 2023 and what way than sharing my word of the year for 2023?
At the start of the year, I love to set a word of intention. This word is with me throughout the whole year and becomes a key fundamental for the year ahead. Some of you would call this a focus word, but for me, it’s so much more than that. It’s not just a word. It’s an intentional word to help keep me focused for the year ahead and I’ll be sure to take this word with me throughout 2023.
My word for 2023 is… balance.
I’m sure many of your reading this blog post will fully understand and relate to why this word is so important. Every day I wear numerous hats, just like you do as a small business owner. I’m a Certified Dubsado Expert, Mum to Olanyi, a wife, a friend, a best friend, a WordPress Website Designer, the family baker and so much more. The list is never-ending.
Over the last few years, I’ve been on a huge personal development journey, making time to focus on myself and setting SMART goals for the year ahead. I’ve also recently finished hypnotherapy, which I cannot recommend enough. I’ve learnt the hard way that to keep grounded, focused and sometimes sane, it’s important to find a balance.
The beauty of the word balance is that what balance means to me, might be something completely different to you. Right now, I’m striving to find balance in three key aspects of my life, my family, home and business. These are the most important things in my life and my focus for this year is to find a good balance in all three areas ensuring they are intertwined and aligned. In summary, I’m learning to give adequate attention to each area of my life.
2023 will see Nadine Hassan Creative stepping out of comfort zones, setting new strategies, launching new services and ensuring our systems are working efficiently and seamlessly. After all, we all know how much of a Dubsado-geek I am.
A personal goal and key focus for 2023 is to complete our house renovations. We do have some big steps to take to turn our house into our forever home. These renovations are achievable and an exciting project to help keep my family focused. Finding balance in any aspect of life isn’t easy and it can be challenging. At the start of 2023, I set some new goals and strategies to help achieve my goal of finding balance and ensuring this balance is aligned. The key is to prioritise time, responsibilities, and set boundaries. One new strategy I’m implementing is to set firmer boundaries in my business and with my time.
As we all know it’s important to take time for yourself, making sure to rest and relax to stay productive and energised. Practising self-care is always a great way to stay balanced.
Overall, it’s all about finding the right balance between the different aspects of your life. I’m ready to feel calm, balanced and aligned with all aspects of life and in Nadine Hassan Creative. I’m so excited for this journey of finding balance.
